A Train! A Train!
It started out as a trip to the bank and turned into a wonderful moment (that had nothing to do with a bank or money). The bank is just down the street from a railroad crossing and, as we were pulling out of the parking lot, I heard the train in the distance (sounds like a novel). So we (Hayes) changed our course and got to the tracks just as the lights were flashing and the bars were coming down over the street.
It was a good train too. Lots and lots of cars. Hayes said “Wow” and I just watched. The guy in the truck behind us was looking down in his vehicle.
I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the thrill of watching a train go by. And now, Hayes can enjoy it too.
i LOVE trains too! i never get tired of hearing them or seeing them. our house is right near the train tracks here and we always hear the train go by.

Hannah,
This entry about the train is magical. I can see the look of wonder on Hayes’ face
from the way you described it. Thanks for sharing this.
