spiral-bound angst

that rips and shreds

Why did I leave that window open?
And why did I ignore when you first crept in?
Who do I think I’m fooling?
And who is really hurting (and who is the cause)?

I know you aren’t sitting up
all hours of the night
ruminating
deciphering

A teenager might say:
You’re so mean
We used to be friends

That kind of honesty isn’t always bad

And you might think this is about you
or her or him or them
And it is.
And it isn’t.
And these lines in various forms appear over and over
and over.

exercise.
exorcise.

  1. I don’t know who hurt you, or why, but your poetry is great! Keep writing!
